About the Position: This position serves as an Administrative Officer with the U.S. Army Material Command, Media Distribution Division, located in St. Louis, MO 63114.

Duties

Responds to inquiries and/or coordinates with staff on various administrative and operational support services for the accomplishment of own assignments. Maintains all internal MDD electronic and hard copy records, files, and reports including MDD purchase records for proper recordkeeping and audit purposes associated with all procurements. Provide analysis and oversight on behalf of division chief for reimbursable client support, priority orders and general customer service. Division analysis – Coordinating all analysis requirements from each branch within the division providing final product to division chief for review and implementation. Evaluates the compliance of safety and physical security measures to ensure compliance with all applicable directives, policies, and as directed or coordinated with MDD Security Managers and Safety Program Managers. Provide services to both WG and GS employees as well as external support to higher HQ and personnel administration IAW all OPM guidelines to include alternate timekeeper responsibilities.

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience: 1) Provides assistance in response to a wide variety of administrative procedures; 2) Maintains an automated suspense tracking system/status log; AND 3) Assists with procurement activities (equipment, supplies, materials) by ensuring compliance with procurement regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCustomer ServiceDecision SupportOrganizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
