Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
Tax Exempt and Government Entities, Exempt Organizations and Government Entities,
Program Management Office (PMO)
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
Sets strategy and direction relating to the implementation and execution of program management capability and support. Plans, coordinates, and integrates activities of TE/GE programs and projects.
Performs critical program and project support and review and analysis across a broad spectrum of issues, such as digital services, technology, modernization, internal and external audits, media requests, requests under the Freedom of Information Act, workforce recruitment, hiring, training, and retention.
Applies
technical knowledge of planning, programming, budgeting, operating division methodologies, and execution to the integration and execution of TE/GE directed actions and stationing initiatives that impact programs and services.
Supports project teams in applying program and project management standards and processes in the development and implementation
of initiatives supporting TE/GE.
Reviews program execution, assesses and evaluates effectiveness of operations and support relationships, and recommends program changes.
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience with a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques sufficient to coordinate complex programs and solutions of related issues pertaining to Exempt Organizations and Government Entities (EO/GE) customer segment (organizations exempt from income tax under IRC 501, Tax Exempt Bonds, Federal State and Local Governments, and Indian Tribal Governments); Experience with a full range of Federal laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the segment(s) of the Service's program affected by the assigned project or study, specifically EO/GE; Experience with the overall mission, objectives, functions, policies, and organizational structure of the Internal Revenue Service and in particular, EO/GE; Experience with management principles and processes to perform project management duties and to effectively coordinate and integrate project objectives and recommendations both inside EO/GE and with other BODs; Experience working with others and to maintain harmonious relationships with all parties; Experience with oral and written communication.
