About the position: This position is located at the Youth Center on Grand Forks AFB. The position may require the incumbent to transport children in a government vehicle therefore a valid state driver's license must be obtained and maintained; a good driving record may be required as a condition of employment.

Requirements

  • This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
  • This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be at least 18 years of age.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays or special situations.
  • Incumbent requires reqular contact with children under the age of 18 and requires a state criminal repository background check investigation, and periodic re-verification check of multiple agency record.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must be at least 18 yrs. of age. Must have knowledge of computer systems used for basic entry and retrieval operations. Experience with Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word is required. Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Must possess good communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license. Must satisfactorily complete a Childcare National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI) and state and national criminal background checks. Must satisfactorily complete an Installation Records Check (IRC) and a State Criminal History Repository Check (SCHRC). Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
