You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Air Systems Group, System Safety & Air System Integration Department, and Air Systems Integration Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
This position's duty location is Patuxent River, MD.
Duties
You will support assigned programs by adhering to policies, executing processes, following procedures and producing documentation to create an integrated Naval Aviation Logistics Industrial support package.
You will conduct logistics research and development as well as assess and utilize industry practices to improve maintenance technologies, manufacturing sciences, and technology insertion in the acquisition process.
You will establish processes and guidelines that ensure the supportability analyses performed are logical, analytical, repeatable and auditable, and result in successful identification of maintenance requirements and support alternatives.
You will provide logistics expertise and guidance throughout the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process.
You will provide logistics expertise to Weapon Systems Program Offices and Logistics Managers to ensure that designed logistics support systems meet established supportability requirements and performance parameters.
You will determine appropriate interface activities and serve as a lead or member (as appropriate) of relevant program Integrated Product Teams.
You will provide subject matter expert advice and facilitate the application of logistics concepts and policies across the program, in support of program goal.
You will serve as an expert in the full range of weapons system integrated logistics support and to take concluding action within any area of supportability for the assigned weapon system.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) ) Utilizing established planning tools and procedures to plan, establish, and execute effective total life cycle goals for the assigned system;
2) Providing analysis and responses during the development and review of program Contractor Data Requirements Lists and Statements of Work;
3) Executing logistical planning, processes and documentation during the acquisition process to ensure that the desired level of logistics supportability is achieved;
4) Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations associated with supportability and logistics in the acquisition of aircraft, aircraft systems, and weapon systems; and
5) Demonstrating a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and practices of systems engineering and systems life-cycle phases as well as the documentation, analyses, and reviews associated with those phases.
