Duties
Analyze data on workload/Full-Time Equivalent (FTE)/Relative Value Unit (RVU)/encounter complexity to identify specific areas of command interest and action.
Establish and maintain a state-of-the-art management information reporting system to include database development, spreadsheet design, and data mining systems.
Provide management and program analysis services and recommendations on utilization involving staffing requests, reorganizations, demonstration programs, allocation readjustments, and other related functions.
Conduct healthcare related studies based on workload, utilization, costs, work methods and procedures, organizational and functional alignment and program goals, current health-care program business initiatives, and pilot project assignments.
Perform general and/or focused prospective, concurrent and retrospective reviews, including gathering and summarizing data and providing analysis of data/information to organizational leaders.
Employ analysis methods to develop information for reports addressing such elements as cost and trend analysis, efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and tangible benefits and to assess the success/failure in attaining program goals/objectives.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in analyzing and recommending solutions for a variety of issues in areas such as (health care delivery programs, organizational structure, staffing, manpower, & budget.); establishing and maintaining management information reporting systems to include database development, spreadsheet design, and data mining systems for internally produced data such full-time equivalent (FTE)/ relative value unit (RVU). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
