About the Position: This position is located at Fort Huachuca, AZ. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Chief of Busines Analysis within the Clinical Support Division.

Duties

Provide counsel to employees regarding internal policies within the department. Work Closely with General Practice Managers (GPMs) to compare data between the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) and local direct care market. Assist in identifying course corrections to meet program goals. Work closely with clinic leadership to assist with the distribution of education throughout the organization. Review Tricare standards to ensure most up to date policies are followed.

  • A background check is required.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Analyzing data from various sources within a health care facility. 2) Assisting in data collection of direct care markets to identify optimum blend of current capabilities. 3) Utilizing health care systems to assist in improving current automation processes. . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailDecision MakingHealth Systems AnalysisHealth Systems Data Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
