The position is located within the Security and Hazardous Materials Safety (ASH) organization and may be assigned to a geographical location under the purview of the Office of Investigations & Professional Responsibility (AXI). The mission of ASH is to ensure aviation safety, support national security, and promote an efficient airspace system through the development and administration of policies and programs.
Duties
The incumbent serves as a Writer-Editor within the Policy and Support Division. The incumbent will perform multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team and may perform some leadership functions for small projects/programs or other work activities. Applies experience and advanced knowledge of writing and editing principles to analyze, select, and organize information.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience includes: Experience writing or editing publications, policies, and procedures. Experience writing and editing material drafted by others using established practices, standards, and guidance including application of technical communications concepts.
