THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a INTEGRATED PRIMARY PREVENTION OFFICER (PREV WF), Position Description Number D2639P01 and is part of the JOINT FORCE HEADQUARTERS, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Duties

As a INTEGRATED PRIMARY PREVENTION OFFICER (PREV WF), GS-0101-13, you will serve as the Director of the Integrated Primary Prevention (IPP) Program. Responsible for the overall management, guidance, development, implementation and maintenance for the primary prevention of harm and other prohibited abuse and harmful acts. The IPP Director creates the homogenous link between stand-alone programs. Develops command guidance to implement an IPP program to improve personal resilience, connectedness, and well-being and enhance work/life balance for Service members and families.

Requirements

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance within one year of appointment.

  • This is a National Guard dual status technician position which requires military membership.
  • The hired SAPR Professionals cannot have any automatic disqualifying conditions per DoDI 6495.03, Section 3.2a.1-7.

Qualifications

Military Grades: Officer only MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.
