As a Construction Control Representative, you will be responsible for construction management for the technical, financial and business management of the most complex, large and politically sensitive prospectus design and construction projects.
The Design and Construction Division develops and delivers workplace environments and solutions to support our customers' needs.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) in negotiation, managing and administering term contracts for construction management, inspections, and testing services
Oversees construction of lease and federal projects, either personally, or through contract construction management firms. Reviews and approves subordinate FTE and term contractors construction manager personnel's inspection reports to ensure conformance with project requirements
Develops scopes of work, schedules, detailed fee estimates, contract criteria, and other pertinent documentation if professional design services from architecture and engineering (A/E) firms as required
Conducts or directs contracted services (A/E firm) to conduct site investigations to determine feasibility, topography, subsurface conditions, site configuration, or condition of structure and essential data before initiating design
Requirements
- US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
- Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959

The GS-13 salary range starts at $104,170 per year (2024 General Schedule Pay Table). To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience which included responsibility for developing and managing construction or alteration projects. Such experience must demonstrate experience defining requirements with customers; applying construction and cost estimating methods and techniques; contract administration; inspection and acceptance of materials and workmanship; and construction, installation, or repair of various types of systems used in public use buildings (e.g., heating, air conditioning, fire safety, ventilation, plumbing).
