About the Position: Serves as a staff-level Equal Employment Specialist for the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) with responsibility for providing technical guidance and direction to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs.
Duties
Provides technical advice and assistance throughout MEDCOM on the administration, implementation and oversight of EEO programs.
Develops and executes MEDCOM's Affirmative Employment Program (AEP) Plan for the EEO program based on command needs and resources required to achieve measurable progress and build a model EEO Program.
Performs program analysis and evaluations and conducts studies, organizational reviews, and identification of significant trends as they relate to EEO.
Requirements
- Up to 25% TDY may be required
- Able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance

Specialized experience is defined as: Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure a comprehensive EEO program is implemented at all levels within the command and advises commanders and their staff at all levels on the effectiveness of the program and Participates in planning, organizing, and overseeing intensive EEO program activities for the command such as the Special Emphasis Programs (SEP) and Minority College Relations Program (MCRP) and Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) for College Students with Disabilities, including program development, administration, evaluation, and advisory functions.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
