Duties
This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB),Assistant Administrator - HQ Operations - Alcohol Labeling and Formulation Division.
As a Tax and Trade Specialist (Program Manager), you will:
Serve as an expert authority on broad alcohol and tobacco program issues falling within TTB's jurisdiction.
Manage projects involving studies of processes, problems, and initiatives that concern Office and Division programs and associated activities in other Federal, State, local, and international regulatory and taxation agencies and organizations.
Perform complex, in-depth studies and or direct and coordinate task forces or working groups on significant issues which impact on functions and programs of national and international significance, particularly those encompassing programs of the Office and Division.
Provide leadership and guidance to Headquarters and field managers about the impact of trends, new technology and other matters affecting assigned program areas.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-14: Specialized experience is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent, that is directly related to the position as listed above and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience includes:
Resolving alcohol and tobacco regulatory program issues; AND
Conducting regulatory projects; AND
Leading task forces or working groups on significant issues; AND
Developing or coordinating policy and regulatory decisions.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
