About the Position: Serve as the primary Force Structure Management and Integration analyst which supports the Branch's missions to produce the Structure and Compositions System (SACS) file, and assists the Branch in the oversight of the Structure and Manpower Allocation System database. You will analyze programs whereby manpower and materiel resources are allocated to Army forces, commands, and programs; evaluating the capability of these programs to effectively accomplish the Army's mission.
Duties
Analyze a wide range of authoritative data sources to produce a comprehensive plan for the detailed force structure.
Project future force structure for detailed personnel and equipment requirements and authorizations for Program Objective Memorandum (POM) analysis and other programmatic efforts.
Understand and adjust to changes directed by Total Army Analysis decisions.
Translate force structure data analysis into directed program adjustments to ensure accurate projections.
Employ expert knowledge of manpower/force structure practices, techniques, and capability of Army automated manpower allocation systems.
Provide expert guidance and recommendations to command managers and organizational integrators in managing and programming the total Army Force.
Oversee personnel conducting network resource analysis and policy management.
Identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary duty travel (TDY) required up to 25% of the time.
- This is a testing designated position.
- Personnel are required to sign DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program).
- Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

GS-14 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Evaluating force structure data to develop plans and reports for senior leaders; utilizing automated systems to perform data analysis on force structure data; and providing guidance on total force structure issues within an organization.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
