About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Budget Analyst. Responsible for leading a Division of employees to manage an Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Garrison budget, formulating, justifying, presenting and executing budget that supports Fort Bliss
Duties
Administers the Garrison's overall budgetary management system.
Provides budgetary and technical leadership for the development of cost estimates associated with long-range multi-year studies.
Implements, administers, and assesses impact of budget programs which incorporate the Army's Planning, Programming, Budget and Execution process utilizing the Army's General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)
Directs, coordinates and oversees work directly and through subordinate supervisors.
Exercises significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or organizations, and in advising management officials of higher rank.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position and requires to comply with DoD and DA requirements of this certification program. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience monitoring the execution, obligation, and expenditure of funds for proper allocation; monitoring commitment and obligation ledgers; providing advise to managers on status of funds and whether funds are being used according to budget plans; and planning and scheduling work assignments for employees.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
