This position is located in the DEA, Intelligence Division/OCDETF Fusion Center (NF). The position's primary purpose is to serve as the financial management point of contact and is responsible for providing administrative support for financial management, budget related processes, and a variety of other operational support duties.

Duties

As a your typical work assignments may include: Develops informational materials to support annual and multi-year budget inputs and narrative justifications. Makes recommendations on obligations for salaries, travel, equipment, supplies, etc., and tracks balances to ensure object classification and line categories are not overspent. Performs a wide range of administrative duties to support the procurement of supplies, property, and services. Advises managers on procurement matters. Makes recommendations on obligations for salaries, travel, equipment, supplies, etc., and tracks balances to ensure object classification and line categories are not overspent. Reconciles monthly financial reports, alerts the appropriate office when discrepancies are found and follows through until successful resolution. Serves as NF's liaison with the DEA property and supply office.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement. If you are qualifying based on education or if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcripts with your application. Applicants applying for the GS-11 must meet one of the following requirements: Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-9 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: developing interpreting and implementing administrative policies; monitoring programs; analyzing problem areas; consulting and advising management providing funding justifications and plans; and analyzing financial management and budget activities.OR Education: Three years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph. D. degree or PH.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100% Applicants applying for the GS-12 must meet one of the following requirements: Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-11 grade level.
