About the Position: This position is in the Healthcare Support Directorate. The purpose of this position is to act as a primary action officer as the Customer Relations Officer (CRO). This position involves a variety of duties centered on resolving patient problems and concerns in a highly sophisticated manner.

Duties
The incumbent will serve as the Command Customer Relations Officer (CRO) appointed by the Commanding Officer.
Assist beneficiaries by disseminating information through written material and oral presentation.
Prepare written response to patient correspondence as assigned by the Department Head.
Maintain contact with external commands and the personnel of other military and civilian medical facilities to resolved patient’s problems.
Brief Command executive staff/Board of Directors on the customer relations climate.
Evaluate the Customer Relations Program annually.
Utilize Microsoft Windows (access, Excel and Power Point).
Organize and maintain electronic files and documents.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Secret Clearance (Tier 3): This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Probationary Period: Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Immunization Screening: Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations.
- Seasonal Influenza Vaccination: This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing support to health care management officials by advising on and/or coordinating clinical and administrative services; evaluating customer concerns and needs to improve patient experience; providing recommendations to leadership to resolve issues and initiate corrective actions and utilizing web database systems to prepare reports and maintain collected data.
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
