This position is located in Management Directorate, Office of Security and Integrity, Integrity Assurance Division, Controls Integrity Branch.
As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will ensure that USCIS maintains a non-financial internal control function in accordance with OMB Circular A-123.
Duties
Ensure that USCIS maintains a non-financial internal control function in accordance with OMB Circular A-123.
Responsible for assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing internal controls and ensuring that program offices resolve identified deficiencies.
Communicates project status, milestones, risks, and obstacles to chain of command, and prepares recommendations for obstacle-mitigation strategies.
Drafts memorandums, reports, and other documents related to ongoing and finished projects in order to brief senior officials and agency personnel on project status and accomplishments.
Represents agency security office on working groups related to office mission and liaises with internal and external stakeholders to ensure representation and consensus on projects impacting multiple organizational entities.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/18/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/18/2024.
GS14: You qualify at the GS14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Gathering, reviewing, compiling, extracting, analyzing, benchmarking, and presenting performance and budget data to management in order to track completion of performance plan goals, objectives, and tasks.
Assessing performance and providing assistance with quality assessments, performance analysis, and course of action development associated with management internal controls.
Conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Leading projects with long-term impacts that cut across organizational and activity lines.
Conducting special studies and proposing options and alternatives.
