You will serve as a Materials Handler in the FLC JACKSONVILLE Product and Service Regional Transportation and Distribution for Transporation of Things (TOT) of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will verify shipments by checking shipping documents and match specific item identification by name, stock number, letter, code, quantity, and unit of issue on containers. You will unload incoming shipments and documents receipt of material. You will apply material handling techniques in storing items providing for easy retrieval, convenience in handling, protection from damage, and ease of movement. You will coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials to facilitate movement of materials in accordance with priorities, scheduling requirements, and space allocations. You will operate equipment in a safe manner, applying established safety rules and regulations to minimize minor violations and to avoid major violations due to employee error or negligence.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift Operator's license.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
