This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), located in Washington, District of Columbia and/or within 50 miles of a ACF Regional Office.
Duties
Provides analysis, review, and advice regarding policy and program development activities and matters related to ORR issues, special initiatives, and investigations;
Reviews program processes, FOIA responses, reports, data, and other agency materials for accuracy and quality control;
Recommends clear formal and informal responses to reports, audits, investigations, inquiries, final management decisions, annual or periodic updates, and other documents as necessary to oversight bodies including, but not limited to, HHS/Office of the Inspector General (OIG), the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Congressional committees or member offices, licensing offices, and ombudsperson's offices;
Prepares and leading briefings for ORR senior leadership in advance of engagements with members of Congress, GAO, OIG, or other oversight officials;
Serves as a liaison and providing clearance of materials/responses on oversight matters with HHS stakeholders including ACF/Immediate Office of the Assistant Secretary, the Office of the General Counsel, HHS/Assistant Secretary for Legislation, HHS/Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources, HHS/Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, and others;
Communicates procedure changes in documents, workshops, training, and/or stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below.
Specialized Experience:
GS-13: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the duties listed below:
Preparing various position papers, reports, briefing documents, data fact sheets, and other materials concerning compliance monitoring.
Analyzing, reviewing, and/or providing advice regarding policy and/or program issues or initiatives.
Making recommendations for developing policies to improve program processes.
