About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Maintenance Division, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Duties

Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist responsible for the oversight and reporting of maintenance activities for assigned components, subsystems or complete vehicle system(s). Monitors contractor logistics support with emphasis in maintenance and supply for installation maintenance programs. Implements a quality assurance surveillance program to evaluate the performance of contracted maintenance support services. Oversees contractor functions to include refurbishment, requisition, storage, receipt, issue, handling, packaging, and shipment of materiel. Determines contractor's effectiveness and conformance to contractual requirements. Represents the Logistics Readiness Center at a variety of meetings, to include special event planning and progress reviews. Participates in and provides input for mobilization and contingency planning. Reviews and analyzes installation maintenance requirements, services, technical bulletins, purchase descriptions and other publications for possible adverse maintainability/reliability effects.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
