This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Police Officers to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is located in Detroit Arsenal.
Duties
Perform law enforcement work to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, protect life and civil rights, detect and investigate crimes, arrest or apprehend violators, and perform patrols within the jurisdiction of the military installation
Provide administrative management, technical support and compliance inspection of the Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) in support of required National Crime Information Center (NCIC) operations.
Provide oversight and guidance of the Protection Division use of NCIC.
Conduct periodic inspections to ensure accountability, proper usage, and care of assigned NCIC and security badging equipment.
Provide investigative support for offenses or alleged offenses under proprietary jurisdiction with local and state law enforcement agencies.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
