Duties
Plans, devises, and administers outdoor recreational activities at a U.S. Army Recreation Area.
Responsible for the overall management for the 365-days-a-year facility.
Water sports, camping, hiking, and other leisure time activities are supported year-round by a military community of active duty and retired military, their dependents, and authorized civilians.
Maintains an accurate account of daily sales revenue, operational funds, fixed assets, and property. Formulates feeder information for both APF and NAF budgets.
Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing outdoor recreation activities from the standpoint of participants’ response, resources, unforeseen developments, and program evaluations.
Requirements

- A one year probationary period may be required.

- Must be able to work any shift which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
1. Directly related work experience that included the goals, principles, method of techniques of outdoor recreation and understanding the interest of individuals and groups.
2. Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising or evaluating community, industrial, outdoor, institutional, or other recreational programs.
3. Work experience supervising support staff in outdoor recreation programs.
4. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.
Highly Preferred Criteria (Must be supported by application package):
1. Possess at least two (2) years experience managing an installation Outdoor Recreation program.
2. Possess at least two (2) years experience developing and implementing APF and NAF program budgets.
3. Possess at least one (1) year experience with Warrior Adventure Quest program.
4. Possess a Wilderness First Aid Certification or higher.
5. Possess experience operating and or supervising Outdoor Recreation programs in a cold weather environment.
6. Possess at least two (2) years experience developing risk assessments and implementing safety controls.
