Duties
You will assist claimant commands to define customer IM/IT requirements, manage NMCI network services and accounts, schedule and coordinate new services and upgrades.
You will assist Customers and/or Claimant commands to define new IT requirements in accordance with policies.
You will provide training and assistance to command IT Points of Contact.
You will coordinate with claimant commands to plan/schedule network outages/restoration to minimize impact on operations.
You will serve as customer liaison for customer service problems that cannot be resolved by the Help Desk in a timely manner and escalates operationally impacting issues.
You will assist Information Systems Security Manager with required Information Assurance tasks including investigating security violations, reporting incidents, restoring network services, and maintaining configuration management of installed assets.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 50 pounds in weight.
- You will be required to climb ladders.
- This position is considered Key which requires the incumbent to be recalled to duty after normal work hours to support critical Command and Control, Communications, or Flag support operations.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing network system administrator support functions to manage network accounts and security groups, manage network file shares.
Examples of experience is providing IT Customer Service support by assisting customers to troubleshoot hardware, applications, configuring mobile devices, backup data, mapping printers and network drives, using Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections for remote computing.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management
OR
- Successful completion of 3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
