Qualifications

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-07 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-05 level defined as executing administrative processes in an office environment; and prioritizing tasks and managing multiple priorities- OR 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement (Superior Academic Achievement Definition) degree in an academic discipline related to this position - OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
To qualify for the GS-09 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-07 level defined ad coordinating and evaluating a range of administrative services for an organization; interpreting and applying administrative procedures, regulations, and processes; and serving as the point of contact for information for the administrative support personnel who service the organization;- OR master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; degree in an academic discipline related to this position - OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
NOTE: 1 year of full-time undergraduate study is 30 semester or 45 quarter hours. 1 year of full-time graduate education is the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study; if that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours is considered 1 year of full-time study.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of administrative rules, regulations, and policies;
Skill in conducting analyses of administrative functions, work processes, and numerous and/or varied projects;
Skill in oral communication;
Ability to direct a comprehensive support program by providing services necessary to the operation of the organization;
Knowledge of procurement, travel, and property management in order to monitor a program and provide the services necessary toward the operation of the organization;
Skill in written communication;
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
