Duties
The selectee will serve as a Management and Program Analyst in the National Computer Forensics Institute Division. Typical work assignments include:
Analyzing data generated from agency systems and organizes the information in the form of data dashboards, comprehensive reports, briefs, or presentations that informs managers of a solution or recommendation;
Leading committees, task forces, or working group responsible for addressing systemic issues that impact the operations of line program operations;
Preparing briefing documents or executive summaries that highlight data analysis in a clear and concise manner;
Identifying inconsistencies with line program operations against formal federal, state, or agency policies or procedures and justifies the need to establish a formal review.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience. You qualify for the GS-12 level (starting salary $87,773.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 level performing the following duties:
Utilizing knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods to contribute to the development of program planning and procedures;
Supporting projects and/or programs within an organization by applying management principles and processes; and
Presenting recommendations to management based on findings from program analyses.

You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $104,374.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level performing the following duties:
Analyzing and improving program effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative methods;
Implementing program management techniques to attain mission critical goals;
Coordinating multiple projects based on program plans, priorities and timeframes; and
Communicating to senior management by drafting reports and/or presenting briefings to leadership.

Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted).
