You will serve as a MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR I in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will plan daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules and the sequence of operations for employees performing the work.
You will perform all necessary tasks to complete the work as scheduled including ensuring material availability, transporting material to work site, and outage identification.
You will select individual workers for assignments based on character of work, required trade skills, and crew composition.
You will define the standards of quality, quantity, and timeliness to be met in the area of responsibility.
You will set up performance standards, rating performance, approval or disapproval of various leave, disciplinary actions as necessary, initiating commendatory actions, and training and development of subordinates.
You will support and explain management programs to subordinates.
Requirements

Qualifications

ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE: 1) Determining the cause of malfunctions and making repairs using technically proficient methods; 2) Planning and performing work using blueprints, specifications, and sketches and 3) Completing repairs using troubleshooting techniques, shop mathematics, and in accordance with work orders or instructions.
