The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to 50th Logistics Readiness Flight.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Plans and Integration Section, ensuring that logistics plans, deployment operations, Base Support and Expeditionary (BAS&E) Site Plans, Defense Readiness and Resources Reporting System (DRRS), and Support Agreements comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Plans and executes contingency, emergency, and/or expeditionary deployments for the installation.
Responsible for providing training, resources, and logistics systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the installation deployment process.
Represents the Plans and Integration Section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

- Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall for contingency or expeditionary support.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- This position may function as the trainer/certifier for officer and enlisted personnel assigned to Logistics
Readiness and/or Logistics Plans Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs).

This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Logistics Management Series 0346.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11(or higher) grade level or equivalent pay systems (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector). Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, war reserve materiel management, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, mobility bags/small arms weapons, air terminal operations (for non-AMC bases), and logistics command and control. Knowledge of logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations (e.g., Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Systems (DCAPES), AEF UTC Reporting Tool.) Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures; Skill in analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting logistics readiness factors, and formulating procedural solutions to problems.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, mobility bags/small arms weapons, and logistics command and control.
Knowledge of logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations (e.g., Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES), AEF UTC Reporting Tool (ART).
Skill in analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting logistics readiness factors, and formulating procedural solutions to problems.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
