About the Position: This Inspector General position is located at 1st Infantry Division Senior CDR AUG, Office of the Inspector General, with duty location of Fort Riley, KS.

Duties

Serves as a planner for all Inspector General inspections. Maintains the Inspection Database used to track inspections, staff assistance visits (SAV), training, inspection areas, POC and trends. Inspects scheduled and unscheduled installation-wide issues in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and supervisory guidance using the systemic approach.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance through the duration of your employment.
  • The incumbent of this position must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • As the Intelligence Oversight Officer IAW AR 20-1, Section III - Intelligence Oversight Inspections, para 6-16a the incumbent must provide intelligence oversight for the intelligence components within their command.
  • The position requires successful graduation from The Inspector General Course and recertification every four years.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
