You will serve as a Lead Security Guard in the Security Division Command Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will enforce security measures to protect personnel, property, and materials
You will activate and deactivate security systems to allow access to authorized personnel
You will distribute the workload among employees based upon priorities, difficulty of assignments, and workforce capabilities to met all job related requirements.
You will make quick and independent decisions in emergency situations that comply with security protocol and regulations
You will give technical directions orally to the entry control or vehicle inspection team to maintain their safety
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Distributing and balancing workload among employees to ensure proper security coverage and timely response times. Instructing subordinates in specific tasks and job techniques, reviewing reports in progress and finalizing reports to ensure quality and accuracy. Prohibiting unauthorized personnel from accessing secured areas to maintain security. Allowing entrance to persons and vehicles with proper authorizations. Monitoring and authorizing the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Confirm facilities, locks, alarms, fences, gates, or other barriers are closed/locked or open/unlocked depending on the time of day and the conditions that apply. Notifying emergency personnel when issues arise to assist in protecting personnel, property, equipment, or facilities. Enforcing security measures to protect personnel, property, and materials.
