This position is located in Region IV, Division of Radiological Safety and Security, Physical Security Branch, in Arlington, TX.The supervisor is Jeremy Groom, Deputy Director.This position is Non-Bargaining Unit.This position IS subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.This position IS subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements.
Duties
The successful candidate will perform the full range of Branch Chief duties , implementing organizational change, supervises people, facilitates resolution of policy, technical, and administrative issues, plans and executes activities, and communicates effectively.Such duties include but are not limited to:1. Manages, supervises, and coordinates the Branch staff's execution of diverse activities.2. Implements change with clear emphasis on ensuring reactor security while providing for regulatory actions that are open, effective, efficient, realistic and timely.3. Supports Regional management and other Divisions with project responsibility by responding to assistance requests, and informing and advising on licensee safety issues.4. Integrates inspection findings, examination results, licensing reviews and/or other indicators of licensee performance to provide comprehensive assessments or licensee performance to NRC and licensee management.5. Manages issuance of appropriate enforcement actions, based upon accurate assessments of licensee performance.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as knowledge of security policy requirements to function as technical authority in assignments requiring the application of new theories and developments to security problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted security methods, technology, or procedures.A description of how you possess the specialized experience as well as how you meet the qualifications desired in an ideal candidate should be addressed in your resume.
