Duties
This position is located in the
Training Services Bureau, Assistant Chief of Police for Standards and Training
Operations, United States Capitol Police.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.For the CP-9 level you must have one
year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CP-8/GS-10
level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be
filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge,
skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes: 1) Knowledge of
the principles, concepts, and practices of law enforcement training methods and
materials; 2) Knowledge of adult learning methodology to law enforcement
training, development, and evaluation; 3) Skill in developing law enforcement training
curriculum and instruction, developing lesson plans, and course content; 4) Skill
in operating computers and utilizing various software packages and the internet
to instruct and demonstrate specific law enforcement training.ORSUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:Education may be substituted for experience. For CP-9: Candidate may possess
a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher
