The purpose of this position is to perform work related to the acquisition of program information to support the technical activities of document scanning, file room and medical record activities. The incumbent performs filing/retrieval and clerical duties associated with retention, maintenance, disposition, guardianship, and control of administrative and medical records in both terminal digital and alphabetical file systems.
Duties
The incumbent performs filing/retrieval and clerical duties associated with retention, maintenance, disposition, guardianship, and control of administrative and medical records in both terminal digital and alphabetical file systems.
Performs administrative and medical document scanning in CPRS, utilizing CPRS, Imaging Capture and Imaging Display to view documents.
Reviews all incoming documents for patient identification to aid in timely input of scanned documents and assures compliance with documentation requirements including complete signature.
Conducts quality assurance on 100% of all documentation for readability, clarity and position.
Arranges records for storage/reference, scheduled disposition, and retrieval.
Assists with records retrieval for record retirement and preparation for shipment, and assist with record management program.
Open and sorts incoming mail.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Qualifications
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one (1) year of General Experience. Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
OR
EDUCATION: Two years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED)
OR
COMBINATION: Equivalent combinations of experience and education are qualifying for this position. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED)

Physical Requirements: The work with computers is mainly sedentary in the office environment. Paper records retrieval, filing, and management involve standing, bending, reaching, lifting, stooping, pull and other physical exertion. Some work requires packing boxes (whose weight will typically exceed 20 pounds) and other wise preparing records for shipment.
