You will serve as a SCIENTIST/ ENGINEER in the CYBERSECURITY ENGINEERING DIVISION of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Duties

You will assist with managing the information technology demands and connectivity of a full division of employees. You will will be responsible for ensuring that network capabilities are sufficient to support the demands of current efforts as well as future demands. You will will assist with in the strategic planning of facilities to include space capacity, networking, audio/visual infrastructure and network capabilities. You will act as the liaison between Program Managers /System Owners and the Cybersecurity Office. You will assist in investigations and reporting as needed. Assist with the management of the quarantine processes and be able to advice asset administrators on correction actions.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722, level I, within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

ND-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge managing cybersecurity and facilities projects to include management of schedule, resources and risks. NO-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:Apply knowledge of cybersecurity principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of data.
