As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.
Duties
The Program Manager serves as a Middle Manager of the Strategy directorate (AJV-S) and manages the work of a large, multi-level organization, and across multiple functions and/or disciplines through subordinate managers and employees. Provides direction to subordinate managers and employees in the analysis and evaluations required to facilitate the management of the various projects. The work includes complex projects/programs based on the objectives of the Strategy directorate, the ATO, and frequently the FAA. Provides direction to subordinate managers responsible for leading projects and monitoring contractors in the development, test, integration, and implementation. Applies detailed knowledge of the technical aspect of the work directed to oversee the analyses and assessment of program requirements. Integrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals of the organization and the FAA, participates in strategic planning for the FAA, and makes commitments for a major organization.

Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FV-J, FG/GS-14) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience applying program management principles and practices to develop new programs and organize programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.Experience monitoring and tracking program performance to ensure alignment with goals and objectives, and identifying and mitigating risks.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
