As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.
Duties
The Program Manager serves within the Mission Support Services Directorate and provides management, direction, and evaluation of activities that support the organization's goals and objectives. Manages the work of a large, multi-level organization typically through subordinate managers. Applies knowledge of the Mission Support Services projects/programs and work activities to support the National Airspace System (NAS). Organizes programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization. Provides oversight, leadership and guidance to facilitate the management of the various agency information technology-centric projects. Integrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals of the organization and the FAA, participates in strategic planning for the FAA, and makes commitments (program, budget, etc) for a major organization.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- Some all or none may be interviewed.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FV-J, FG/GS-14) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience leading staff in the analyzing and assessing program requirement stability, designing and conducting complex studies of proposed software applications, ensuring compliance to system requirements, assessing and integrating the program budget and analyzing project milestones and deliverables.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
