You will serve as an Education Technician in the NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.

Duties

You will serve as the Registrar's liaison to the University community for providing technical assistance in response to phone, email, and in-person inquiries in matters regarding student status and records. You will perform data processing functions in support of the Registrar's Office. You will collaborate with the University community for the continuing improvement of database systems supporting student management. You will analyze emerging needs to develop innovative proposals for improving related technology and for streamlining business processes. You will conduct research with the academic departments and gathers student records in order to produce reports, charts. timelines and graphic metrics to support Director's monitoring of operational efficiency.

• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using office automation software to prepare a wide variety of documents; 2) Overseeing all education support agreements with partners in accordance with DOD guidelines; 3) Maintaining a tracking system for support agreements to record current processes and agreement status; and 4) Monitor all degrees and certificate program applicants for agreement status.
