You will serve as a Materials Expediter (Fork Lift Operator) in the Material Management Division, with the Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC). of MARINE CORP LOGISTICS BASE, BARSTOW, CA.
Duties
You will be responsible for categorizing new and in-process parts, components, and material in work unit or groups as required to support product team operations.
You will maintain logs and records to monitor and track items dispatched.
You will determine process and prepare route tags for assemblies and materials for repair, rebuild and modification.
You will in conjunction with the planner, establish required completion dates for processing the material.
You will follow up and report to the planner the status of overdue items.
You will report on difficulties encountered in routing, flow times, processing, scheduling, unacceptable deadline dates, etc..
You will receive, sort, tag, issue, maintain, log, process records, and physically secure needed material and services from other areas.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current FORKLIFT certification
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
