This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Human Resources Directorate (HRD), IBC HRD Personnel and Payroll Systems Division. The incumbent will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the Personnel and Payroll System Division (PPSD).
Duties
Maintains the central leave calendar for the Division Chief, Deputy Division Chief, all Branch Chiefs, and administrative support personnel.
Establishes and maintains tracking systems and procedures for the office administrative activities, which include general correspondence, records for staff acquisition, and division level policies.
Tracks procurement actions to include monitoring activity, analyzes cost effectiveness and decision making.
Coordinates and books all division travel and accommodations in accordance with government travel guidelines.
Identifies and gathers information to support either special projects or formal presentations to be given by the Division Chief.
Coordinates the Division All-Hands meetings with authority to make scheduling decisions.
Qualifications
At the GS-07 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limed to: Providing administrative support and technical/advisory assistance with automation programs; experience with records and database management; and providing assistance to customers at all levels of an organization.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
