Duties

You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist and is responsible for surveillance of the contractor's compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements for MDRS. You will analyze quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends/conditions and/or weaknesses in the contractor's quality control system and monitors quality control procedures. You will review and evaluate technical data to identify characteristics that may affect the quality of the services and products provided. You will conduct surveillance to determine that services offered to the Government comply with contractual and technical requirements before they are accepted. You will administer and evaluate various segments of a complex and comprehensive logistics QA program designed to ensure that contractor(s) meet their responsibility for product quality and/or services in their respective areas.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license and any installation and/or DoD license required for the type of vehicle being driven.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience applying quality assurance principles and concepts while reviewing quality or inspection procedures for adequacy; evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems to determine supplier compliance with contractual requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
