About the Position: Carlisle Barracks is an installation at the center of the Army and Department of Defense Senior Leadership educational programs.

Duties

Serve as primary travel voucher reviewer for US Army War College and Carlisle Barracks personnel. Perform technical work in support of budget analysis functions. Perform technical work in support of budget analysis functions. Serve as the Directorate's primary office administrative support person. Perform budget formulation, execution and review of assigned account.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain within 24 months of appointment the Financial Management Certification-Level 1.

Qualifications

This position may be filled at either grade level. If filled at the GS-06 grade level, there will be promotion potential to the GS-07. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) maintaining ledgers, multi-level audit trails and bookkeeping functions; 2) providing technical and administrative support to staff on budget/travel procedures and various administrative matters; 3) creating complex reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06) or equivalent pay band. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Concepts, Policies, and Principles of BudgetDecision SupportFinancial Management SystemsFundamentals and Operations of Budget Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05 for GS-06; GS-06 for GS-07).
