You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Navy Installations of NSA PORTSMOUTH NSY SECURITY DET.
Duties
You will serve as the senior civilian advisor to the Installation Security Officer (ISO) in providing installation Antiterrorism (AT), Physical Security (PS), and Law Enforcement (LE) for the protection of life and property.
You will be responsible for the oversight of installation Navy Security Force (NSF) programs, policies, and personnel.
You will conduct comprehensive review and analysis of installation Antiterrorism (AT), Physical Security (PS), and Law Enforcement (LE) programs for compliance with headquarters policies and procedures.
You will ensure Antiterrorism (AT), Physical Security (PS), and Law Enforcement (LE) programs align with the Installation Commanding Officer's mission, vision, and guiding principles.
You will exercise direct and indirect supervision of a variety of personnel assigned to the Navy Security Forces (NSF.)
You will be responsible for managerial and organizational effectiveness and efficiencies in Antiterrorism (AT), Physical Security (PS), and Law Enforcement (LE) programs to support operations.

- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying physical security, law enforcement, anti-terrorism and force protection security policies, principles and practices to review and resolve force protection problems; 2) Conducting surveys and performing analyses to identify the critical security needs and vulnerabilities of facilities; 3) Advising high level security officials on new developments/advances in security to improve the efficiency of agency wide security systems/programs; and 4) Evaluating site/facility engineering drawings to identify potential security deficiencies.
