About the Position: The incumbent serves as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel and Adjutant General, working under the Deputy Command & Chief of Staff at the National Training Center. It is responsible for the management oversight of the G1, Installation Ready and Resilient Integration, Voting Assistance, Domestic Violence Review board and G1 Retention.
Duties
Prepares correspondence, reports, and briefings in order to communicate with all levels of staff.
Directs the Strength Management for an installation, (including all commands in program areas) to encompass readiness assessment, enlisted and officer management activities having command-wide impact and inter-command linkage.
Overseas the administration and technical management of the staff engaged to provide military personnel services and implementation of military personnel program.
Analyzes data to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments related to military strength management programs.
Develops policies and programs in one or more broad areas of military personnel mobilization and deployment (e.g., development of strategic and administrative plans; personnel automation efforts; strength management, personnel actions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret/Tier 3 security clearance.
- This position is Key-Essential. The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential"

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in federal service which includes experience in applying military human resource management requirements as they relate to an evolving organization, mission, and work functions to include program development, program evaluation, and resolution of changing and complex problems arising from program improvement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
