About the Position: This position is located at the 15th Medical Group Hickam, Resource Management at Hickam Air Force Base, which is on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. A cost of living allowance has been authorized for Hawaii at the rate of 8.90% (subject to change).

Duties

Perform the completion of timely reporting of Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) data. Analyze factual data from outpatient, inpatient, ancillary services, and support services such as in the area of command and administration. Request justification from and/or assists organizational managers when variances are identified. Report accurate and timely submissions of extensive statistical data and expense database of performance factors. Independently re-classifies expenses from existing accounting, finance, and medical supply reports and determines appropriate base support costs, depreciation factors, and personnel costs to develop accurate costs input data. Ensure standardization across clinical areas and work centers regarding performance measures and performance standards under DoD guidance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business management, healthcare administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailManages and Organizes InformationRequirements Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
