Duties

You will serve as the senior strategic Public Affairs Officer (PAO) for a Unites States Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Region Office under the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management. You will plan, organize, and direct the strategic communications programs in support of major IMCOM missions, projects, programs and strategies. You will recommend participation in specific forums for release of information and prepares speeches, briefings and testimony for the same. You will serve as the sole official spokesperson and primary contact for local and national media, which require immediate responsiveness. You will develop and implement communications plans to inform affected publics of ongoing initiatives including commercial activity studies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to travel up to 25% to Army CONUS and OCONUS locations, other Army departments and corporate institutions in the performance of these duties.
