Duties
Assign work to subordinates based on priority, and mission.
Adjust work procedures within the organization to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Identify conditions or work processes that could impact mission goals to create a resolution.
Interpret general directives and regulations from higher echelon relating to the management of assigned functions.
Serve as a technical expert in planning and problem resolving efforts relating to ammunition processes and development of specifications and plans.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position meets the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening and random testing.
- This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is a Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as Lautenberg Amendment. This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
- Performs duties which involve the Control, Accountability and Shipment of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AAE). Incumbent must maintain AAE Security Certification/Screening IAW AR 190-11.
Qualifications
About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as Production Planning Officer, located at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, which is a subordinate installation of JMC. The position serves as Chief, Production Planning Division, with responsibility for the product management, parts management, quality, and production control services associated with the manufacturing, renovation and maintenance and demilitarization of ammunition within the production complex.
