About the Position: Serves as Synchronization Staff Officer (SSO), Action Officer (AO), and principal representative for G8, Force Development Directorate in matters pertaining to one or more assigned systems.

Duties

Manages those assigned systems to ensure manpower, money, and material resources are properly allocated to support timely development, procurement, and fielding of new items and appropriate cascading of replaced items. Analyzes and identifies potential for joint programs with other Services and allied nations and makes recommendations for programs. Develops Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Extended Planning Period (EEP) material/monetary requirements and input for assigned systems. Acts as DA proponent for all assigned systems to ensure total systems are fielded that meet Army requirements in accordance with DCS, G3 priorities and system distribution plan. Ensures specific requirement and acquisition planning guidance is identified and considered during the program and budget development process

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • 10% travel may be required.
  • Obtain and Maintain Secret Security Clearance.
