Duties

This position requires military membership in the Puerto Rico Army National Guard (PRARNG) Selected applicant(s) will be required to complete an online Onboarding process.

Requirements

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

Qualifications

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This position requires military membership in the Puerto Rico Army National Guard (PRARNG). If you are not a military member of the PRARNG (i.e., Airman, civilian, active-duty Soldier, prior service, guard member from another state, reservist, IRR, State Guard, etc.), you must contact the Recruiting and Retention (R&R) Office at (787) 289-1400 extension 2015 or 2008 and request the PRARNG Military Basic Requirements (MBR) Certification. If the MBR certification is not submitted, or you do not meet the requirements to be a member of the PRARNG, your application will not be screened. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: HRO MUST process and clear the Department of Defense (DoD), Priority Placement Program (PPP), prior to advertising all internal and external job vacancies and promotion announcements. DUTIES: As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (D0891P01),GS-2003-9, you will plan, organize, review, evaluate and supervise the work of the branch office and to perform analysis of supply procedures, services, directives and management functions of the branch. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is sedentary and is usually accomplished while the incumbent is comfortably seated at a desk or table. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal workday in connection with attendance at meetings, conferences or while researching files. WORKING ENVORONMENT: Work is primarily performed in an office-like setting involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of offices, meeting and training rooms. The incumbent uses safe work practices and observes fire regulations. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess at least ONE (1) year at the next lower-level GS-07 or the equivalent TWENTY-FOUR (24) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as implementing provisions of personnel management such as equal employment, merit promotion, career development, performance appraisals, employee counseling, incentive awards and position management; reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting supply directives and procedures; formulating and recommending operating procedures to achieve optimum support to the logistics program on matters pertaining to property; managing procedures to unit/activity representatives for implementation/update of property management Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS); coordinating work with unit/activity representatives concerning priorities, procedures and work accomplishment; preparing budget estimates for Military Table of Equipment/Table of Distribution & Allowances (MTOE/TDA) change considerations.

Education

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for 3 months of specialized experience. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. Courses must be directly related to the work of the position.
