This position is located in the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Real Estate Services. The Realty Specialist is responsible for carrying out FHWA real estate programming and other related activities necessary to administer these program areas. The Realty Specialist will concentrate in one or more of the Office’s program areas and will provide technical assistance and expert interpretations to stakeholders on matters that are related to the real estate program.

Qualifications
To determine which grade(s) you may be eligible for, review the following grade specific details. You will be asked a few questions as part of your application but make sure to verify how you meet this experience in your resume or you may be deemed ineligible. For the GS-13: You qualify for this grade level if you have at least one year of specialized experience, equal or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which included:
Experience interpreting laws and regulations related to The Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act; the Highway Beautification Act; and Federal-aid Right-of-Way programs; AND
Experience administering programs under the authority of eminent domain statutes and legislation.
For the GS-14: You qualify for this grade level if you have at least one year of specialized experience, equal or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which included:
Experience applying laws and regulations related to The Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act; the Highway Beautification Act and Federal-aid Right-of-Way programs; AND
Experience reviewing programs and related activities under eminent domain statutes and legislation.
