About the Position: Serves as a Management Analyst with the Headquarters Department of the Army, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff located at Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia.
Duties
Develop military job classification and position authorization instruments for Army-wide application including Military Occupational Specialty structures, standards of grade, career feeder patterns, and implementing regulatory instructions.
Provide authoritative advice on the Military Occupational Classification and Structure (MOCS) process and the classification and grading of military positions.
Write reports, prepare and present briefings to HQDA Staff, Major Commands and personnel proponent summarizing the results of MOCS studies.
Conduct in special studies or serves on boards and committees authorized to recommend changes to improve the MOCS process and related personnel management systems.
Analyze and interpret data, problems, or other material required for development of assigned projects.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with integrating manpower and/or personnel associated with force structure changes, modernization efforts, training, and/or weapons systems; composing guidance and/or publishing notification of future changes in support of the agency's classification and structure requirements; analyzing grade structure, position and/or personnel reclassification, personnel substitution and/or training base impact of military occupational classification and structure change proposals and revisions; and briefing senior level management and outside the agency summarizing study results to make recommended changes to the classification and structure fields. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
