About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Human Resources, Personnel Processing Center, Hunter Army Airfield, GA.

Duties

Performs the full range of military related Human Resource (HR) functions in support of the Military Personnel Division (MPD) PCS and Reassignment Work Center. Advice departing Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Soldiers on the regulatory required documentation to produce PCS orders. Ensures Soldiers Installation Clearing Papers (ICPs) are sent to the Soldier and S1 NLT 30 days from reporting date or when Soldier starts PCS Leave. Distribute Soldier final-out paperwork to S1 so they can complete departure transaction in eMILPO.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary duty travel of 5% may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes1) ensuring procedural and administrative tasks relating to military human resources are completed timely and within Department of the Army Regulations; 2) reviewing changes in legislation and DoD directives for the impact on the organization in regards to military human resources; 3) utilizing programs such as; eMILPO, IPPS-A, Installation Support Module (ISM), EDAS, TOPMIS MILPER messages and/or 4) preparing guidance and procedures for implementing new DoD and Army policy and legislation in regards to military human resources. OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer ServicePersonnel Action Processing and RecordkeepingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
