Duties

As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Custspt), at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets, and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for the completion of work. Evaluates the work performance of subordinates. Plans and establishes the work schedules, deadlines, and standards for acceptable work, coordinates and integrates contractor work schedules and processes with work of subordinates or others. Analyzes benefits and costs of accomplishing work in-house versus contracting, recommend whether to contract.

Specialized Experience: In addition to demonstrating the basic qualifications listed above, applicants must also demonstrate possession of specialized experience. You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level performing duties such as: Developing and updating customer support policies and procedures to ensure appropriate responses to future incidents of a similar nature. Planning, implementing, and managing problem management systems designed to effectively recognize, report, track, and resolve problems. Developing specifications for user instruction manuals based on customer's needs. Issuing technical bulletins via the intranet to inform customers of problems and to instruct them in taking necessary actions.
